HIKING

Hikers will find diverse options to explore in the Ponte Vedra area. From hiking along the shore to strolling along trails featuring dappled shade, hikers will enjoy the serenity they are seeking.

Located within the GTM Research Reserve, these special hikes will help you understand why these unique environments make this one of only 30 National Estuarine Research Reserves in the entire country.  Come see what makes estuaries so special.

Come experience this 2,400-acre conservation area that presents a great mix of undisturbed, old Florida flora and fauna. Located just west of the Tolomato River, the 3.5-mile one-way trail will let you immerse yourself with a Florida very similar to what was found hundreds of years ago.

For many, the ultimate is to combine a great hike with a great beach experience. If that’s you – try the North Beach at the GTM Research Reserve.  It’s easy to get to and park – the overlook gives you a stunning vista of stretches of this special beach.

The longer nature of this hike in the Guana Research Reserve and range of environments will help you understand why this spot is one of only 29 National Estuarine Research Reserves in the U.S.

Looking for an easy, family friendly hike that provides a mix of interesting experiences and easy access? Try Bird Island Park, one of Ponte Vedra’s most loved destinations.
